around the pond interior requires buying an extra 1.2m (2 × 0.6m) of overall liner

- Shelves reside inside the footprint: Because terraces are excavated
inside the outer perimeter outline you drew on screen, their horizontal width is already
accounted for in the overall top-down bounding sheet measurements!
- No change in cross-section span: Replacing straight vertical drops with
stepped horizontal benches simply breaks the vertical depth and horizontal span into
staggered steps without stretching the outer sheet envelope.
